Victory A10 Day Cruiser boat in the ocean.

I agree about textures and imperfections. But there is a problem with adding imperfections on similar renders. For a general view of the boat, it needs to be shown from a distance, because it simply doesn’t fit into the frame. And from a long distance, imperfections are simply not visible, because they will be literally erased by the denoiser. OR…it takes much longer to render…idk, it’s not simple here.
Of course, it can be shown in other, more detailed shots, well, you know, some kind of separate view where part of the boat is shown from a close distance.

Very nice work! I had trouble with water too, but lot’s of good feedback here. I agree with the furniture details, should have some details that would improve the realism. Still awesome to see how these turned out.

Maybe it’s an idea to make a multi material for some of the textures. One with some imperfections and one where they are simply disabled or deleted. I agree that the denoiser tends to be a bit aggressive and remove actual details you want. As long as you don’t use displacements which I think are not really needed for some imperfections the render times won’t suffer that much on distant shots I think but that’s worth testing.

I really enjoy making things less perfect but it’s pretty time consuming and I can also imagine some clients prefer a spotless and perfect look.

Great work ! Maybe, the inside of the boat looks a bit too “perfect”. Consider adding some imperfection and material variation to bring some life in (if it does cause crashes !)

Thank you for your feedback guys! I appreciate it, always glad to hear the opinion of professionals!

First of all, I really like the design of the boat itself – it looks modern and tech-inspired, very sleek. The ocean surface in the renders looks great too, especially the lighting and reflections. The only thing I’d suggest is adding a bit more splash or spray where the water meets the hull – it would make the interaction feel more realistic, though I know that’s not easy to pull off.

Also, I think having more environmental reflections in the windows and on the polished surfaces of the hull could enhance realism even more.

My favorite render is definitely the one with the sunset background – it really captures a great atmosphere. Well done!

Great work!
Some very good detail here.
I especially like the shot with a portion of the frame underwater so ou can see the bottom of the hull and propellers.

As already mentioned, the surfaces of the boat look very ‘perfect’, and the transitions between the flat surfaces are super sharp, which may not be realistic, so adding some imperfections and a degree of edge radii could step up the realism.

Oh, and how cool would it be to add some motion blur, water splashing and vortexes from spinning propellers? Not that I know how to even get started on that though.

I guess Ai can help with water splashes, haha.

The splash water added in Photoshop is creative. While Blender simulations are a fantastic alternative, refining the lighting and caustics could enhance realism. Try experimenting with different shaders and lighting setups to achieve the desired effect.

The use of fractal noise for ocean surface displacement is clever, but tweaking the map can help reduce artifacts, leading to a smoother look. Increasing light sources and fine-tuning shaders can bring out the water’s realism and improve caustics on the sea floor.

I love these pictures. What I would criticise, however, is the overly clean look of the boat and equipment. The upholstery could look a bit softer, more used - for my taste.
